Zera Ministries played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Foundation Christian Church, a church plant uniquely designed to serve the students of Oakland University. Over the course of a year, Zera Ministries provided technical and financial expertise that ensured a solid foundation for the church’s operations. From setting up sound systems and live-streaming equipment to guiding the church through budget development and grant opportunities, Zera Ministries helped create a sustainable infrastructure that allowed the ministry to focus on its mission: reaching college students with the love of Christ. Their hands-on approach in handling the logistical challenges of a church plant was instrumental in the project’s early success.
In addition to technical support, Zera Ministries took the lead in assembling and equipping the launch team for Foundation Christian Church. Recognizing the importance of a committed core group, the ministry worked tirelessly to recruit and train volunteers, building a team passionate about serving Oakland University students. Zera facilitated leadership development workshops, hosted vision-casting meetings, and coordinated community engagement events to ensure the team was not only prepared but deeply connected to the church’s mission. This intentional team-building approach created a strong sense of unity and shared purpose among the volunteers, which became the backbone of the church’s launch.
Zera Ministries also guided Foundation Christian Church through strategic planning and prayer, providing spiritual and organizational oversight every step of the way. Through regular strategic planning sessions, Zera helped the church clarify its mission, set achievable goals, and implement effective outreach strategies to engage with Oakland University students. At the same time, the ministry emphasized the power of prayer, leading intercessory gatherings that sought God’s wisdom and provision for every aspect of the church plant. This blend of practical support and spiritual guidance created a launch process that was both grounded and Spirit-led, ultimately resulting in a vibrant ministry that now thrives on campus.
